This past Wednesday, Workwell Partners along with the International WELL Building Institute came together to bring NYC’s design community a continued education unit (CEU) class called, “Wellness in the Workplace.” The event was hosted at Fisher & Paykel’s Experience Center located in the A&D Building and featured a healthy mix of Mediterranean-inspired dishes such as salmon gremolata and smoked hummus, which were prepared by in-house chef, Tageré Southwell.

The evening’s class consisted of two parts. The first was presented by Vice President of Global Business Development, Stephen Brown, who introduced the basic building blocks of WELL, walking attendees from its origins to case studies and WELL certified projects. The second part of the CEU was presented by Workwell Partner’s very own LEED Designer and Account Liaison, Jesús Santos, who tied WELL back to the workplace, providing real world applications and design tools for the office. The overall presentation gave a true overview connecting the standard and what it is with how you can apply it to the different areas of your current or future projects.

Leaders from the design and build community, including Gensler, Ted Moudis, TPG, JLL, and others walked away with an all-around look at WELL as well as AIA and GBCI credits. For more on WELL, visit We also want to thank Fisher & Paykel for opening up their showroom to us and hosting our event.
