Does great furniture equal more productivity?

Managing the expectations of an entire company is a challenge in itself. How do you design a space that keeps everyone engaged? Is it including certain furniture? What about bright colors? Do you have a more open floor plan or something that is a bit more private? How many collaboration areas are too many?  At the end of the day the number one question is how to increase and keep productivity? Atmosphere and furniture in a space truly play a large part in the overall productivity of those using it. Here are some great articles that discuss the correlation between workspace design and productivity: http://www.businessnewsdaily.com/7456-workspace-design-productivity.html http://www.the-global-now.com/business/office-furniture-affecting-productivity/ https://www.business.com/articles/the-office-atmosphere-impacts-productivity-behavior-appearance-and-comfortability/ http://blog.millikencarpet.com/how-your-office-chairs-impact-employee-productivity https://www.inc.com/murray-newlands/7-reasons-why-great-office-furniture-increases-productivity.html

Project Managers or Miracle Workers – One in the Same

By definition, project management is “the discipline of using established principles, procedures and policies to manage a project from conception through completion”. Project Management is a unique field that tends to fall onto people’s laps versus them choosing the job for themselves. It’s something that you grow into and sometimes happens out of necessity. FORE!

This year our team hit the links, well sort of, for a day filled with golf at Top Golf in Edison, NJ. Each year, we try to plan a fun, unforgettable day outside the office for our employees. We do this as a small thank you to all of our employees for all that they do throughout the year. It is always nice to spend time together in a casual, non-office setting (despite our love of being surrounded by office furniture). Top Golf is a unique experience and is good for people of all ages and level of golf skills. Top Golf is an elevated, interactive driving range. You score points by hitting micro-chipped golf balls at giant dartboard-like targets on an outfield. The closer you get your ball to the centre or ‘bullseye’ and the further the distance, the more points earned. As soon as we arrived, we broke off into teams and starting teeing […]

Full Steam Ahead: A Night of Networking with CoreNet

As the weather gets warmer here in New York, it’s time for us to enjoy some of our favorite local events and networking parties. Last Thursday, our team and our guests enjoyed another wonderful evening at the New York City Chapter of CoreNet’s Annual Dinner. Once again, attendance was at a record high for the sold-out event on the iconic Intrepid Museum on the Hudson River in Manhattan. Some of our favorite highlights include the Design Competition, the fun Photo Booth, and the beautiful new lounge areas. Check out our recaps and photos below! Design Competition In it’s second year, the Annual Dinner Design Competition was an exciting success for the event. The goal of the Design Competition was to give CoreNet NYC Members a platform to express their creativity by interpreting the annual theme and showcasing their submittals at the chapter’s biggest event of the year. With this year’s theme of Global Connections, each participant was […]
