Amplify is an education company that develops digital platforms to provide assessment and analytics for data-driven instruction and next-generation digital curriculums. With offices in Brooklyn, located at the base of the Manhattan Bridge, the organization sought to consolidate their team from various partial floors onto one main floor.
With a centrally located cafe space and several breakout areas, the organizations differing functions can choose to work in either collaborative or private spaces. The overall design helps the organization’s goal of establishing a more streamlined sense of community now having the entire team on one floor. In terms of design, TPG’s solution was to create discrete neighborhoods which are separated by bays of private offices and huddle rooms floating with the space. In addition, they cite that flexibility was an important driver in the design, as Amplify anticipates growth over the next several years.
